The first step is to plan your case all the way through before we start, with every important detail decided before we begin treatment. This requires a consultation where we will include a discussion of your current oral health and smile goals. Many times, we’ll also complete x-rays and CBCT scans along with taking digital photographs. By uploading this information into our innovative CAD/CAM software, we can precision design your new teeth and plan out the most ideal locations in your jawbone to place the dental implants. Depending on your case, we may also custom design wax-ups and a surgical guide, which will be fabricated in-house with our 3D printer. We take great pride in our ability to custom-design beautiful restorations that fit perfectly over dental implants for permanent fit and function. Using this software, we can also present you with a virtual smile simulation so you can see in real-time how you will look with your new smile!

The next phase of your treatment involves having your dental implants surgically placed. We may use a guide during this surgery if it is more complex. You have the option to choose sedation dentistry including IV sedation to help you experience a relaxing and pain-free procedure. Dr. Phillip is trained and licensed in this form of sedation to ensure your maximum comfort. We can often extract remaining teeth and complete bone grafting at this appointment as well. Once your dental implants are placed, we will determine if you can receive a temporary set of teeth at this time. We’re proud of our ability to offer these custom-crafted provisionals right in our in-office dental lab, where we can control the quality of materials and design, as well as perfect the look and fit of your restoration.

You’ll need between 4-6 months to fully recover from surgery and to ensure that the dental implants have securely integrated with your bone. This healing period is crucial for the long-term success of your treatment as this integration process is what keeps your new teeth stable and functional. When this process is complete, you’ll return to our practice to have your final restoration designed and created. This restoration will be hand-crafted to fit your smile specifications and blend in with your natural lip and smile line, facial features, and even skin tone.
